Trusting your woman’s intuition in relationships

Faith, Healing, Relationships — June 10, 2023

God puts this thing in women called intuition. It’s different from what men have. A women’s intuition is based on emotion it’s a feeling. While the world can criticize women for being too emotional, emotions are one of our greatest strengths if we learn to listen and discern them carefully. A woman can learn how to make wise decisions in relationships by understanding her own body’s signals.

A Women’s Signals
A woman’s body is set up to give off signals. A nursing mother’s breasts get sore signaling that it’s time to nurse her baby. When a woman is pregnant contractions signify that it’s to push. Okay, well the same goes for that uneasiness in your spirit as you get to meet someone, it’s a signal often an inner witness not to move forward or to proceed with caution with an individual.

What to do with Intuition in Relationships
This feeling or intuition is a signal that there’s more information behind what a person said, did, or didn’t do. While everything seems okay, it could mean that there is more behind that perfect smile. I would advise that when this happens end the relationship. If you’ve been emotionally invested in the relationship now is the time to put the breaks on that. Speak less and listen more. Ask more questions as needed, and most importantly listen, listen, listen Linda for answers. There’s more, and God will reveal more about this person where you will have the confidence to not move forward, or after addressing your concerns you get the peace to stay.

Why women don’t trust themselves
If intuition is a signal for a woman to pay attention and it helps women with making the right decisions, then why don’t most women listen to their intuition? Two reasons, they don’t trust it or they’re afraid to move. When a woman grew up in a household filled with secrets “we don’t talk about those things”, instability, or lies “he didn’t touch you, you made it up”. It can condition her to deny, overlook, or rationalize the reality of situations. A child looks up to their parents as their hero, in their little minds mommy and daddy could do no wrong. So, while she feels something is wrong, or believes something to be true if mommy/daddy tells her otherwise she then believes, “Maybe he really didn’t touch me”. Thus, she’s conditioned to not trust her own feelings or even have confidence in what she thinks. She was conditioned to not trust herself.

Inherited Relationship Dynamics
Without healing from this type of dynamic, which is a rocky family dynamic a woman can grow to be attracted to men that mirror the same relationship dynamics she had with her parents. He cheats, he blames her, and she believes him. He hits her, he tells her “You made me do it if you would just shut up sometimes”. She believes him. Years go by and this strong, healthy, and confident woman is hidden and smothered by lies. A real diamond buried in the rough. A woman who was gifted and created to do major things in the world gets muted and stifled by her own insecurities.

Self-Awareness
Learn to pay attention to your emotions, and how you feel. While it’s not wise to make decisions from emotions, you should pay attention to your emotions in relationships, assess whether the triggers are real, and then proceed with making a decision. The first time may be difficult but over time you learn to be confident with yourself, your needs, and your opinions, allowing you to walk more boldly into the woman God created you to be.

Precious queen, you ARE your greatest protector listen to her.
