Chakra (cakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to energy points in your body. They are thought to be spinning disks of energy that should stay “open” and aligned, as they correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic body that affect our emotional and physical well-being. There are seven main chakras that run along your spine. Each of these seven main chakras has a corresponding number, name, color, specific area of the spine from the sacrum to the crown of the head, and health focus. ( Heart, third eye, crown, etc.)1.
Each chakra connects you to a deity
The primary goal of the chakra system in Hindu tradition was for meditation, mantras, and visualization. This practice is known as nyāsa. It is strongly connected to Hindu deities and the five elements of earth, wind, water, fire, and space/ether. Each chakra also connects to a Hindu deity. From the first chakra to the last, they are: Ganesh, Brahmā, Vishnu, Rudra, Īśvara, Sadāśiva, and Bhairava 1 .
What is a deity?
Understand that a deity is a god or goddess of divine status, quality, or nature. Without going any further you can see where I am going with this and the scripture that may have popped into your mind is Exodus 20:3-6 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Or Deuteronomy 5:9 NLT You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me. It is very clear what God’s stance is concerning balancing or unblocking your Chakras ( worship no other god but God) but let’s continue.
What Does it Mean to Worship?
God gave these commands to the Israelites after he rescued them from the captivity of the Egyptians. The Israelites were doing things like creating gold statues to worship . They were visiting regions where the natives in the region were worshipping other Gods like Baal. They would pray to these idols, dance around them, and consult with these gods. To worship is to idolize, revere, admire, look up, or exalt. God’s command is that we do not worship no other god but God. This means no you cannot have two Gods, this means no you cannot practice Yoga, balance chakras and still go to church on Sundays and worship God. Through practicing unblocking your Chakras you are connecting to other deities as a form of worship. There is absolutely nothing these little gods can do for you that God cannot do. God commands this because this opens you up to all sorts of other evil practices. Evil practices? How? Let’s continue.
The real spirit behind Chakras & Yoga
The Serpent Power – The Secrets of Tantric and Shaktic Yoga. It is considered one of the best modern explanation on the chakra system. It is a resource for tantra and kundalini ( the kundalini is a spirit that mimics the holy spirit) this book was one of the most famous and modern influential texts on kundalini, tantra, yoga, chakras and it introduced the western world to the chakra system. 1 Once you open the doors to satanic practices like this (I believe any worship outside of worshipping God is satanic) you cannot control what else you allow into your life, your soul, or your children’s life. These gods cannot be trusted because these are all acts of rebellion to God. These practices do not glorify God but are actually an abomination to God.
How do I balance my energy then?
If you need healing, peace, joy, freedom? These are all available to you if you draw near to God in prayer and reading your bible. Find a piece of scripture that aligns with what’s concerning you and memorize it. The word of God is alive, that means its still working, it works! (If you work it) You don’t need to unblock or realign any Chakras, you need to realign yourself to God. I notice that when I feel out of wack or off centered it’s because I’ve been skimpy with my time with God. For depression the bible says, Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28ESV Make God your resting place. For anguish or pain the bible says, For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.” Jeremiah 31:25 ESV God promises that he will satisfy you and replenish your soul. ( God is so good!) Replenishing is needed after going through pain, trials, turmoil, heartache, confusion. God promises that he can satisfy your soul and recharge you he can fill you up, he can realign you.
Feeling anxious or super worried, God got you boo! the bible says, casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].1 Peter 5:7 AMP
Make God your only source of power
There is absolutely nothing these little gods can do for you that our big God cannot do. It is easier to submit to these kind of practices for a quick and temporary fix but understand by doing so you open your life up to long-term misery. If you have been practicing this, God is merciful. God promises that if you confess your sins he will forgive you & wash you from all unrighteousness. This means go to God in prayer, confess what you were doing, repent means to turn away from it (don’t do it anymore), and God promises to restore you and cleanse you as if it never happened. God is faithful, even when we aren’t faithful (whew!)
